BEM UNSOED – Minggu (28/03) BEM Unsoed bersama BEM SI Jateng-DIY telah menyurati Pengadilan Negeri Semarang untuk segera membebaskan mahasiswa massa aksi Omnibus Law di Semarang.
Omnibus Law telah menjadi produk hukum yang sensasional sehingga timbul aksi penolakan di sejumlah daerah. Banyak orang yang telah ditangkap akibat kriminalisasi saat melakukan aksi penolakan tersebut dan pada saat ini masih ada 4 kawan mahasiswa yang terlibat dalam persidangan di Pengadilan Negeri Semarang. Keempat mahasiswa tersebut yaitu 1 mahasiswa Undip, 1 mahasiswa Udinus, dan 2 mahasiswa Unisula. Akan tetapi, banyak kejanggalan pada persidangan tersebut, mulai dari saksi yang tidak jelas sampai dengan alat bukti yang tidak reliable. Tak hanya itu, korban juga mengalami kekerasan verbal hingga fisik pada saat penyidikan yang mana ini sudah melanggar dari tugas aparat kepolisian.
Kami atas nama Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Tahun 2021, menyatakan sikap sebagai berikut :
- Menyatakan bahwa mahasiswa yang saat ini sedang berjuang di pengadilan bukanlah kriminal, melainkan mereka adalah pejuang demokrasi yang menjadi korban kriminalisasi.
- Memberikan dukungan penuh kepada mahasiswa korban kriminalisasi yang saat ini sedang berjuang di pengadilan.
- Meminta majelis hakim untuk bertindak secara adil, objektif dan menjunjung tinggi integritas serta kode etik.
- Memohon agar membebaskan kawan-kawan yang tengah dalam proses penahanan tersebut.
